FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is SupiderOS?

SupiderOS is an Agent Company OS. Instead of working with one isolated chatbot, you build a company: a Meta-Agent coordinates, Employee-Agents execute, and projects keep the record of the work.

Is SupiderOS free?

The first local-first release is planned as a free release. Model usage is billed by the Provider you connect, under your own account with them.

When can I download it?

The Windows installer is in preparation. The Download page will be updated when the release is published.

Which model Providers are supported?

SupiderOS currently works with OpenAI and DeepSeek connections. You choose the Provider and model for each Agent individually.

Where is my data stored?

Companies, projects, conversations and files are stored locally on your computer. When an Agent works, its model requests are sent to the Provider you configured for it.

How are the Meta-Agent and Employee-Agents different?

Each company has one Meta-Agent that holds the company conversation, plans and delegates. Employee-Agents are recruited into the company to execute the work they are assigned in project context.

Can agents run commands on my computer?

Agents act within the permissions you give them. Each Agent has its own sandbox, network access and approval policy, and actions that require approval wait for your decision.

Does SupiderOS depend on Codex?

SupiderOS is not defined by any single harness or model provider. Agent work runs on SupiderOS’s first-party execution runtime, which currently uses Codex App Server as its internal execution foundation. The architecture keeps companies independent of that choice.

Do I need an account?

Account sign-in is being prepared for the public release. The documentation will explain it once it is available.

Which operating systems are supported?

The first release is for Windows. Other platforms are not available at this time.

What comes after v1?

We are exploring cloud collaboration, sharing company setups, an extension marketplace and richer organization structures. None of these are part of v1, and plans may change.
