Getting started

This guide takes you from installation to your first piece of delegated work. It reflects the product being prepared for the first public release.

Installation steps will be finalized together with the Windows installer.

Before you begin

You will need:

  • A Windows PC. Detailed system requirements will be published with the installer.
  • An account with a supported model Provider — OpenAI or DeepSeek.
  • An internet connection for model requests.

1. Install SupiderOS

Download the installer from the Download page and run it. Before installing, you can compare the file's SHA-256 checksum with the one listed for the release:

Get-FileHash .\<installer-file> -Algorithm SHA256

After installation, SupiderOS opens to its home screen. The built-in SupiderOS assistant can explain the product and help you think through Agent configurations. Formal work happens inside a company.

2. Sign in

Account sign-in is being prepared for the public release. This section will describe it once it is available.

3. Connect a Provider

Open the Personal asset library and choose Provider connections. Add an OpenAI or DeepSeek connection.

Then choose which connection and model each Agent uses — including the SupiderOS assistant and each company's Meta-Agent. Every Agent is configured individually; SupiderOS never switches an Agent's Provider or model behind your back.

4. Create a company

Go to My companies and select Create company. Only a name is required; the company prompt and profile can be completed later.

The new company comes with its Meta-Agent and a first project. Before the Meta-Agent can work, give it a Provider connection and model in its Agent settings.

5. Add employees

Create Agents in My Agents. Creation walks through five steps: Runtime → Provider → Identity → Prompt → Confirm. An Agent is a personal asset; saving it does not start anything.

Recruit the Agents you need into your company as employees. Each keeps its own model, Skills, MCP tools and permissions.

6. Assign work

Open the company and select Enter workspace. Tell the Meta-Agent what you need, in plain language.

The Meta-Agent can answer directly, do the work itself, or delegate WorkOrders to employees. While employees work, the conversation shows that the Meta-Agent is waiting and continues when results come back.

7. Observe and approve

Execution activity appears in the conversation as it happens: commands, file changes, reasoning summaries and final results.

When an action requires approval, execution pauses and shows the command, its directory and its reason. Choose Allow once or Decline. What requires approval is governed by each Agent's approval policy.

8. Work in projects

Use the project selector in the workspace header to create or switch projects. Each project restores its own threads, tasks, files and artifacts, so you can return to any line of work exactly where you left it.

9. Extend with Skills & MCP

Add Skills and MCP servers to your library under My Skills and My MCPs, then install them into the specific Agents that need them. An Agent only uses capabilities installed for it.
